Christian Farla, an Dutch illusionist, has won two Merlin awards in the last two years for the Best Illusionist in the World.

I think the amusementpark he was working in paid for Mister Hassini to come to Holland…

    For your info.

  2. Under the Awards by Year section in the year 2000, there is a flyer extoling the virtues of Bill Malone when he won. At the bottom, it lists the board of directors. One of the members is Harry Blackstone. Quite a feat even for Harry, considering in 2000 he had been dead for 3 years.

I’ve tried many times to get on the Cafe, but every email gets rejected. Now that I have a forum, I have little to say.

I bought into one of Hassini’s DVD deals a while ago. It was something like a 40 volume DVD set. What was left out of the ad was that all 40 volumes were on 2 DVD-R things. Sheeesh…. and I pride myself on reading magic ads pretty well.

So, do you happen to know if Hassini offers a “Sucker Of The Year Melin Award”? I can’t tell you how much I’d love to see that rabbit-puller on some shef in my office.

Please get back to me as to the price of being the best. And what the award is made of. Should I just use Widex to clean it, or will I need to invest in Armor All wipes?

    Thank you!

The thread concerning this topic is now locked on the Cafe’. As usual, anytime something controversial arrises, they don’t want any part of it. Tim is totally justified in bringing up these issues and until Tony answers all of the allegations, the issue is not closed.

If you would like a Merlin, from next year you will be able to win one in one of the competitions at any of the four Happy Valley theme park Magic Festivals.
